This checklist ensures Second Summit Stafford opens smoothly each day, providing a welcoming environment for families and a safe space for our athletes.

Purpose

The opening procedures prepare the facility for daily operations, ensure safety systems are functioning, and create a positive first impression for arriving families. John (front desk) is responsible for completing these tasks before the first class begins.

Pre-Opening (8:30 AM - 8:45 AM)

Facility Access

  1. Arrive by 8:30 AM - Allow 15 minutes for complete setup
  2. Disarm security system using code provided by Sarah (GM)
  3. Unlock front entrance - Main doors only, keep emergency exits locked
  4. Turn on lobby lighting - All zones including reception area

Systems Startup

  1. Boot up POS system - Takes 2-3 minutes to fully load
  2. Check internet connectivity - Test WiFi and register connection
  3. Turn on lobby music - Keep volume at level 3 (families should be able to converse)
  4. Review today's schedule - Check for last-minute changes in scheduling system

Daily Preparation (8:45 AM - 9:00 AM)

  3. Stock waiver clipboards - 3 clipboards with pens attached
  4. Test waiver QR codes - Scan to ensure links work properly

Safety Verification

  1. Walk gym floor - Visual inspection for hazards or equipment issues
  2. Check first aid kit - Verify supplies and expiration dates
  3. Test emergency phone - Ensure line is working
